April Fool's 2013

Every night I lay out their clothes for the next day. This morning, Jackson gamely got up and got dressed in Jon's clothes. Even though he's not smiling in this pic, he was loving it.

I wanted to switch them in their beds but Jon thought that was playing with danger. Instead, we pulled their beds out into the middle of the rooms.

As Jon predicted, at 4 am, Jackson came to my bedside and said, "Mama, my bed is in the middle of the room."

I told him it was April Fool's and he asked me to move the bed back.

But now he's plotting April Fool's tricks for Dada tonight. Watch out, Dada!

April Fool's Day update: In addition to turning Jackson's bed on its side, we also did the ol' food coloring in the juice trick, the rubber band on the sink sprayer faucet, shoes on the wall, pink oatmeal (was not eaten), and Jon got me - well, I didn't get it til the next morning - by replacing the butter with a rectangle on pineapple core. In my haste, I didn't even notice til I repeatedly tried to pass a knife through it. Jackson and Cade loved every minute of it, crying out "Wacky Wednesday!" every time they noticed something else out of the ordinary.
