The American Music System

Sometimes when you go to bed I hum some lullabies to you - mostly Hush Little Baby, Edelweiss, and Silent Night (yes it's a christmas hymn, but it's a lullaby really). I just found this book on our bookshelf - The Revised American Music Reader - that has some very sweet lullabies in it. It's from 1898, and the inside is stamped Property of Board of Education - 1899- Borough of Brooklyn, New York. It also has some nice breathing illustrations, and a wonderful cover.
