like classifying hurricanes

Juggling two children, I find myself dividing chores up into three different categories.
  1. To do when Jackson is asleep.
  2. To do when Cade is asleep.
  3. To do when both are asleep.
For example, I can fold the laundry while Jackson plays with his trains, but can't be tending to Cade. So laundry is a Category 2 chore. Wrapping a present - need both hands and need Jackson to continue to be unaware of all the bright colorful goodies in my drawer, so that's a Category 3 event. And Cade likes to sit on the couch with me, so that's when I can talk on the phone for more than three minutes, so, a Category 1 event.

Sneaking my new favorite Trader Joe's Chocolate-Covered Dried Cherries - that can be a 1 or a 3. Yum.

there should be a catagory for when jackson should be napping but isn't and climbs out of the crib. i guess that would be category 5. because at that point you just want to evacuate. xxoo
