Yesterday we had a little superbowl get-together, complete with pigs-n-blankies (that Jackson helped me make), Amanda's queso and layered-bean-dip, mini-pies from Dub Pies (thank you Jon and Jess and Calvin), tamales from Jose, some old-school Chex Mix from John and Ruth and Penn, and cupcakes (Jackson also helped frost). Brooksie won the pool. and Jackson freaked out when it was time for bed because he was having such a good time.

I can't remember if we skipped a year when Cade was due....but here's Jackson's first and second superbowls.

Superbowl was mellow this year, especially since you've been fighting a virus these past few days. No football cake - just some cupcakes instead. Jamie and Amanda brought some amazingly delicious chili, and Brooksie brought this. Brett and Bryan brought some artichoke dip. I could've eaten the whole bowl myself.

And it took me a while to figure this out, but Jackson, you've been saying "Gael" ever since Sunday. Only it sounds like "Yay-eol" so for a long time I thought you were saying yellow.

It's superbowl XVII and we're having our annual party. We're expecting about 30 people. This year's football cake is better than ever. First pic is the construction, then the finished product, then Jackson posing next to it. Go Patriots!
