ruffled pretty

I love living in Brooklyn, but we'd love to have just a little bit of outdoor space. I delude myself into thinking I could have a little garden. Like, look what Abigail grew in her garden ~ this beautiful, gorgeous, double hellebore. Even though green thumbs run in the family (Grandpa, Mimi, Uncle Michael, Great Aunt Jane), I seem to have missed that gene.

As long as you keep my dogs from trampling them, you don't need a green thumb for these, they're easy!

and one day when you get a little outdoor space, I'll divide them and give them to you.

Don't worry. The gene emerges more as your babies grow up. I can assure you from experience.
