jane's carousel

Tonight at the last minute we got in the car and drove over to DUMBO to ride the new carousel. It was amazing - a restored 1922 merry-go-round, in a glass box, on the Hudson River, under both the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. What made it even better was that we got a parking spot the minute we pulled up. What made it even better was the fun that Jackson and Cade had.Oh, and also what made it better was that there was an arts festival and it was the grand opening of the merry-go-round so rides were free!

You can see the difference in Jackson and Cade in the last two photos. Cade is a fearless little creature while Jackson is so reserved and cautious.

Looks like so much fun. Jackson must have my gene...very conservative.. Good trait. Cade is more like you...loves the rides.

It was a ton of fun and VERY cool. It is surreal being in between the two bridges. The area has really transformed. It feels like another time and place. We were there as the sunset making it even more beautiful. Side note - our friend http://zoepettijohnschade.com/ did a lot of the art on the carousel.

What you wrote about Jackson is actually just like you when you were his age.
