party in massachusetts - ooooo!

This past weekend we celebrated some big birthdays in Massachusetts. We had an awesome time with friends and family from all over. The picture above might be one of my all-time favorite family pics - on account of Jackson throwing gang signs and smirking like he just ate the canary.

The highlight of the night was Jackson and Sammy's performance of Justin Beiber's Baby, Baby, Baby - changed to Bebe, Bebe, Bebe, oooo, Papi, Papi, Papi, oooooo, Happy Birthday, Birthday, Birthday!!!!!  (Excuse my crazy stage-mom instructions. And awful singing/yelling).

THE RAINBOW CAKE!

Jackson had a rainbow-4th-birthday party last weekend. Abigail, bless her, made the rainbow-in-a-cloud cake you see above. Isn't it amazing?! We used 7 pans, three cake mixes (you heard that right, Mom) and three batches of Buttercream frosting. Yum.

birthday countdown

Jackson's birthday, 5 days away. First he asked for a 'Dessert Party', then it changed to 'Rainbow Party,' and now it's back to 'Dessert Party'. Either way, I would love to make him one of these. Although really, I doubt it will happen.

birthdays coming up

This year is the first year Jackson knows he is having a birthday party - "I have 3!" (very French). He has requested blue cupcakes, blue balloons, blue streamers and blue party hats.

I almost wish he had asked for a robot party so I could get him these party kits. Very cute!
