DIY crayons

Jackson and I made homemade crayons for the favors for his birthday party. He helped me sort out all the little broken pieces, peel the paper of them, put them in the silicon ice cube trays, then I melted them in the toaster oven for about 20 minutes at 200°.

(Unfortunately I hadn't seen this blog in time).

more rainbow birthday.....

We also celebrated Jackson's birthday on his actual birthday - the 25th. When he came downstairs, he said, "You decorated for me?"

A few days later Auntie Kate and John brought over the giant rainbow balloon, which clearly, Jackson loved.

rainbow cupcakes too

He also had a little birthday party at school.  Rainbow cupcakes.

Jackson, consider yourself lucky that your birthday is in June. Cade will never have cupcakes at school, and he will always be sad about that. I speak from experience.

THE RAINBOW CAKE!

Jackson had a rainbow-4th-birthday party last weekend. Abigail, bless her, made the rainbow-in-a-cloud cake you see above. Isn't it amazing?! We used 7 pans, three cake mixes (you heard that right, Mom) and three batches of Buttercream frosting. Yum.

More pics from Abigail here.

More pics from the party soon.
