2012 Christmas card

Our Christmas card this year - the easiest one we've ever done. Thank you Jon for designing it.
Merry Christmas, everyone. Or should I say, JOY TO THE WORLD and PEACE ON EARTH!

and of course, how we got there:

Past cards: 2011 2010, 2009 (just sent out a photo, I couldn't get my act together with a 6 mos. old and a 2 1/2 year old), 2008 (my fav), and 2007.

2011 Christmas card

Jon, my oh-so-talented husband, made my most favorite Christmas cards to date. It's funny, you know, because they are so not our little angels. Hope everyone got that.

I just found the two photos we used:

"we're standing on our heads for joy"

Our Christmas cards are on their way from the printer. Jon put up with my crazy ways once again, and designed a great card. Thanks, Jon.

Next year, we'll just do something simple like this card from the exhibition of American Christmas Cards, 1900-1960, at Bard's Graduate Center.

Previous cards: 2010, 2009 (just sent out a photo, I couldn't get my act together with a 6 mos. old and a 2 1/2 year old), 2008 (my fav), and 2007.

christmas card outtakes

Jackson cute, Cade not so much:

Cade great, Jackson not so much:

Both looking down:

Only Cade was ready to participate:

and Cade's eyes are closed:

This was cute but no one looked up:

and here's the mess we made:

Thanks Jon for putting up with my crazy (but endearing?:)) insistence on getting a good shot.

Ah, memories. From 2009. and from 2008.

done!

Jon designed an awesome Christmas card and we finally got it off to be printed tonight. Cross one thing off the list.

Thank you, Jon, for your infinite patience, and for your talent and skills with that program we used to make it. I'm always amazed anew every time I watch you work. I'm sorry I kept asking for your help at 10 o'clock at night.

I don't want to ruin the surprise but here are some of the outtakes from our 'Christmas Card Photoshoot 2008':

christmas card 07

This was the card we sent out this year. The photo was taken by Kate Mathis, my friend and photographer at Martha Stewart.

The left side of the card is showing up black, for some reason, which isn't right. The card was white all over. In case you can't read it, it says "A Basketful of Cheer" in my new favorite font, Die Zeitstücke_2 script.
