Hoist the main sail.

In August, Jackson, Cade, Sammy, Papi, Bebe, Carmen, Jon, Uncle Darin and Auntie Nikki took a sailing outing around beautiful Newport and Jamestown. I don't think they could've asked for a better day:
and some classic Cade:

Can't wait til we're back in Jamestown with Cousin Sammy! Maybe this time Jackson will put his bathing suit on at the beach.

wheelbarrow + piece of cardboard for cushioning = great fun

Happy 5th Birthday, Cade!

We celebrated Cade's birthday in Jamestown on July 2nd. 5! 5! 5!

Cade's favorite present was a stuffed bat from Bebe and Papi, that now has a place on honor in his nightly pile of bed-time friends.

We had vanilla cake with orange frosting and rainbow sprinkles, as requested. Cade "helped" decorate the cake - with his dirty fingers. Luckily there were no reports of stomach aches.

Happy 5th Birthday, little buddy! We love you so.

Jamestown July 4th - by guest blogger Jon Milott

Jamestown 2012 was so much fun we're going back! We packed a lot into one week, including: Jackson teaching himself to swim (with some patient advice from aunt Nikki), fun with Papi, spiral slice hotdogs, Cade's third birthday, Mattapoisett 5mile race (Ev beat Jon by 1 sec), Bebe's BBQ, 4th of July fireworks, boogie boarding, smooching mama, bike lessons from Uncle D and fun!

makes me laugh so much

Every summer in Jamestown, Rhode Island, we take the cousins to the marina to take their picture with the Newport Bridge in the background.

This year we took a few pictures, then said, "OK Hug each other! OK Now Kiss each other!"

This is what we got.

I can't stop giggling.

I don't know what makes me laugh more - Sammy and Jackson, or Cade wanting to get in on the action.

{ I love these boys.}
