jamestown, we miss you

So excited to be on my way to Ann Arbor to meet this little guy! And Jackson and Cade are beside themselves that they get to go to Sammy's house - they could care less that Mama's going away for the weekend!

Fire Island is the best.

 

 

A busy weekend coming up, and feeling like we're still recovering from last weekend - an incredible time in Dunewood, Fire Island. Jackson and Cade had such a good time with Calvin and Finn!

Last weekend, we went upstate to Uncle David and Kim's in Millerton and spent our first night (except Jon) ever under the stars.

Also: bocce playing, swimming, Kayaking (Jackson by himself!), rainbow-cake-eating, blueberry-picking, fire-pit lounging, s'more-making, and tire-swinging.

It's really beautiful there, and we had a fantastic time. And surprisingly few mosquito bites!

What? How did that happen?

We went to Rhode Island last week for the best week ever and basically I feel like the way Cade looks in this picture.

That picture makes me think of a Chevy Chase vacation movie.

Made it to Wednesday with no camp and no school. Just me and the boys.

PS Jackson learned to swim to the bottom of the pool underwater, holding his breath! #soproud!

...so I'm just gonna sit on the dock of the bay...
