Christmas vacation, Florida, 2012

Can you see how much fun the boys had - and Mama too, at the Mario Andretti Race Track! Not to mention the zoo, the beach, the glow-in-the-dark mini-golf, and bungee jumping in the mall!

firsts, Jackson & Sammy - ride a bike!

When we were in Florida, Jackson surprised the heck out of me by pretty much getting on a two-wheel bike and riding it. It was that simple. I guess it was 2 years of riding the Skuut bike that really helped. The same day, Sammy started riding his bike with no training wheels too! It was pretty cool to watch them riding around the neighborhood.

This video kills me - Jackson is wearing his Optimus Prime pajamas, riding his too-small pink princess bike. Sammy speeds by, and......there's Cade, bringing up the rear on HIS pink princess bike (and matching Dora helmet). (Both pink bikes from the local Salvation Army for $5.99 and $9.99, if I remember right).

I have a lot of catching up to do here - - but couldn't let today go by without saying Happy Birthday to our favorite cousin Sammy! We love you Sammy so so much!

Jamestown 2012 was so much fun we're going back! We packed a lot into one week, including: Jackson teaching himself to swim (with some patient advice from aunt Nikki), fun with Papi, spiral slice hotdogs, Cade's third birthday, Mattapoisett 5mile race (Ev beat Jon by 1 sec), Bebe's BBQ, 4th of July fireworks, boogie boarding, smooching mama, bike lessons from Uncle D and fun!  

 

makes me laugh so much

Every summer in Jamestown, Rhode Island, we take the cousins to the marina to take their picture with the Newport Bridge in the background.

This year we took a few pictures, then said, "OK Hug each other! OK Now Kiss each other!"

This is what we got.

I can't stop giggling.

I don't know what makes me laugh more - Sammy and Jackson, or Cade wanting to get in on the action.

We drove up to Massachusetts to celebrate Sammy's 6th birthday on Saturday. Jackson was sooo happy to be with his cousin. He is still recovering today, Tuesday. Happy Birthday Sammy! Thanks for having us come and visit, and sharing all your toys, and having Jackson at your awesome party!

today sammy asked me how many bedrooms i had growing up and i said probably 3 or 4. one for me, bebe and papi and uncle jonnie.  he said. oh that crazy uncle jonnie i just love him so much, was he so crazy when you were growing up?i said yes and that once we even shared a room and he said, oh my gosh, did he wake you up in the morning and talk to you going to sleep like jackson does when he is stays in my room.
